“Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house, and try Me now in this” says the Lord of hosts. “If I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you such blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it” (Malachi 3:10).
The Bible teaches us that our baseline standard for giving is the tithe-contributing 10% of our income to the church. As Believers, it is critical that we understand what the Bible says about tithing. The purpose of tithing is to teach us to put God first in our lives. God doesn’t need our money. Instead, He wants what our money represents: our priorities, passions, and purposes. Make a commitment to tithe and dedicate yourself to it. And more than anything… Trust God and let Him prove His promises. At Discovery Chapel, we know tithing has been a turning point for many people to experience the blessings of following Jesus.
When God stirs you to give beyond your tithe.
When God stirs you to give beyond your tithe, that’s referred to as an offering. You can direct your offering to the cause that resonates with you, such as a specific ministry, or other Discovery Chapel projects. If you’re ready to make a difference; if you’re ready to influence the world, this is your opportunity.
